Red LBP wasn’t built because Dan and Victoria Paltridge wanted to start a franchise.
After the Canterbury earthquakes, Dan could no longer return to the tools and turned to building inspections. It quickly became obvious that while he knew houses inside and out, writing reports was painfully slow. A job that should have taken a few hours often stretched into days.
Rather than accepting it, they built a reporting system that completely changed the game. Inspections could be completed on site using an iPad and turned into comprehensive, market leading, professional reports in a few hours, not days.
That was the turning point.
For the first time, they realised they hadn’t just solved Dan’s problem. They’d built something that could genuinely help other builders who needed to get off the tools, so they kept going.
